A doodle a day

Real love Acrylic on paper 8" x 11 1/2"

I learned a lot from creating this quick doodle painting. What do you see?

I'd like to turn this into a large painting and develop some of the areas further. As an artist, in the process of doodling, much information is revealed because I know how to understand the symbolism. You do as well. This language is innate. Many people have forgotten since it has been quite awhile since they communicated in this manner. Artists use the language regularly and communicate non-verbally quite effortlessly. Isn't it time you brushed up on this language and stopped wondering what all the hype is about? What will it do for you?

When you understand what your intuitive side of your brain is picking up on that your logical side is missing, you are better equipped in this world. Quite frankly, I need all the help I can get. These doodles have taken me from being very fearful to being bold. Are you wondering how? For years I experimented with these doodles and came up with a few exercises that any one can do. Everyone I showed these to said you have to teach this. Reluctantly (with many people pushing me actually) I turned this into a course that has a cd. I walk you through the workbook (playbook) so you can understand the exercises and play along. It is really geared for non- artists and goes over the language of art and more. Once you have a basic understanding, you can see through the basic exercises what the doodles say to you. I heard a quote by Dan Pink today that said something like "Artists show people that something that is missing that they don't realize is missing." Each day you can make a new discovery.

Collage for insight

Listen To Your Heart Mixed Media Collage (not for sale)

This blog is more about the doodles we make however, the above collage turned me on to how the art we create or are drawn to has something to teach us. This one was created years ago and lead me to creating the Draw Out Greatness course to help non-artists tap into their creativity. This collage is saying "Listen To Your Heart." What does your heart have to say? The course was designed to assist you finding out. I'd love to share with you how to do this.

In the meantime, what is your intention for 2009, how can you turn it into your best year ever?

Tough Times or Better Times?

I'm sure you have heard someone say that these are "economic tough times". This idea is playing havoc with the thoughts of some of even the most positive people these days. Over the years it has become so obvious to me that our thoughts shape our own "perceived" world. Here are some thoughts for you to consider and respond to.

1.We design our life- we are all artists. Our life is our creation.
When we have positive thoughts and beliefs we go after our goals and desires. Sure, things happen out of our control that bring on negative thoughts which can alter our beliefs. The market went down. We have no control over this, however, we have control over our reaction. We can either give in to circumstances or we can come up with new ideas about how this can end up being a blessing. We choose to paint our world black or white or we can choose to paint in the full rainbow and welcome our dreams to come true.

2. What is the blessing in this "time" for you? Let's choose to focus on what is working. We get what we focus on. I'll state my intention for 2009 and then please tell us yours. Together we can alter the future of the world by staying focused on that which we desire...

I choose to be happy and have peace within. I intend for this to be the best year ever in all ways.
My thought or strategy: I now have the free time to launch the Course on Draw Out Greatness for non- artists which is dear to my heart because it teaches people how to break past self imposed barriers and follow their dreams. Plus, I have time to paint more works of art that speak to the soul and inspire people.

Your turn, what will you focus on? What do you intend for 2009?"

I was asked to post this Comment :
The painting is gorgeous... peaceful and full of hope and prosperity.

I love your intention and declaration.
My desire for 2009 is to tap into the abundance that's all around me and
extend it to others. I manifest miracles for myself and others.

2009 is the Year of Prosperity for me, my loved ones and my clients.
Have a great day!
